Who are You?
Jesus says, ‘My Father’s house has many rooms… I am going there to prepare a place for you.’ John 14:2
A man meets an old school friend who has done well for himself. The friend now owns an expensive restaurant and he invites the man to have a meal with him. The man arrives early at the restaurant.
The staff, judging him by his shabby clothes and unfamiliar name, assume that a nobody has arrived. He is shown to an uninviting table at the back and the waiters seem disinclined to serve him.
But when the owner arrives, they are both shown with great respect to a table by the window. The manager appears, and with great eagerness he goes through the menu and the specials of the day.
A man arrives at the gate of heaven. The gatekeeper asks, Are you on your own? The man replies, ‘No, I have a friend with me.’ The gatekeeper, seeing the friend, says to the man, ‘Come in, you are very welcome.’
