Rainbow house could be yours

Is this Argyll’s most colourful house?

Rural GP Liza Stolton has spent the last six years going colour crazy at her Dalavich home and is now ready for her next decor project.

With plans to move to Kintyre, where most of her work is based, her three-bed rainbow residence close to Loch Awe is up for sale.

“It’s been fun but it’s time to move on to a bigger project,” said Liza who moved to Dalavich from Edinburgh.

“I’ve always liked to make my mark. When you’ve got a home of your own you can paint the hallway bright pink it you like – and that’s exactly what I’ve done. The pink is a particular favourite of mine.”

“People see the rainbow fence outside and want to know what the rest of it is like inside. Most people absolutely love it when they see it and wish  they had the courage to do the same, others think that cleaning it all must be a nightmare – but it really isn’t!” she added although she admits she had to de-clutter lots for the estate agent photos.

“Whatever the weather is like outside, it’s always bright inside,” said Liza who has even made sure that the raised veg beds in the garden are also multi-coloured.

“My family thinks it’s just wonderful. We’re looking forward to our next project. We’ve got a place in mind and it’s going to be a huge transformation. I’m planning on taking plenty of photos and possibly do a blog as the changes happen,” said Liza who is selling her property with Stewart Balfour & Sutherland for offers over £179,995.
