Care home celebrates nurses’ success

Staff at Kintyre Care Centre gathered last Thursday afternoon to celebrate two of their colleagues completing their training and becoming registered nurses.

Sajjad Ali, originally from Pakistan, and Sukhpal Kaur, originally from India, have worked at the care home for nearly two years and have been working very hard to complete all their training.

They have been supported throughout by Kintyre Care Centre manager Jennifer McKellar and Mary Anne Douglas, Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership’s lead nurse for care homes.

“Everyone at Kintyre Care Centre is very proud of Sajjad and Sukhpal,” said senior wellbeing co-ordinator Susan Ellis, “so we organised a celebration with decorations, a beautiful meal from the Bangladesh Tandoori restaurant and a fantastic cake from Argyll Bakeries.”

Sajjad and Sukhpal would like to thank all their colleagues and residents at Kintyre Care Centre for their continued support and wish to thank the people of Campbeltown for making them feel so welcome in the Wee Toon.

They are both looking forward to the future, living and working in Campbeltown.

“We are all so proud of both of them for working so hard to complete their training,” said home manager Jennifer. “They are a great addition to the Kintyre Care Centre team.”
