West Kintyre’s SWI groups joined forces to hold a coffee evening for Macmillan Cancer Support in Tayinloan Village Hall recently, on one of the worst nights of the year.
The ladies of Bellochantuy, Largieside, Clachan and Whitehouse ‘Rurals’ provided delicious baking, bottle stalls and a raffle, as well as selling craftwork. The evening was also a great chance to meet up with friends and neighbours.
“Despite the small number of people that braved the flooded roads, the magnificent total of £465 was raised,” said a spokesperson. “Thanks to everyone who supported this event.”
