Pumpkin patch photographs boost local causes

The fruits of amateur photographer Kayleigh McLean’s labours are continuing to bolster vital Kintyre causes.

Following a successful photoshoot at The Farm Stall in Bellochantuy on Saturday October 14, Kayleigh returned to the farm last Saturday to photograph more families picking their own pumpkins.

She photographed almost 50 families, with the £300 raised this time helping to fund a local event for children with additional support needs.

On her first visit to the pumpkin patch on October 14, Kayleigh snapped more than 70 families, raising £400 for the Mairi Semple Cancer Fund, a long-standing charity that provides financial aid to Kintyre residents suffering from any type of cancer.

Inspired by the cancer battles she and various family members have faced, Kayleigh has been donating the proceeds from all her photoshoots throughout the year to the fund, so far raising more than £3,000.

And her hard work never stops, as Kayleigh also visited Kintyre Toy Library on Monday, raising £135 for the playgroup after taking almost 30 shots of tots in front of a seasonal backdrop.

“Thank you so much to everyone for all their support,” said Kayleigh. “I am overjoyed to have been able to donate to this amazing additional support needs event and am looking forward to sharing more information about it soon.”
