Win the chance to help Santa on his sleigh

Lochaber Rotary, in partnership with the Lochaber Times and with the support of Ferguson Transport and Shipping, have plans well in hand for this year’s annual Christmas Festival in the Nevis Centre on Saturday November 25.

Accompanied children under the age of 16 get free entry to the festival and free sessions on the Bouncy Castle and Soft Play Area as well as a free Festive Gift from Santa’s Grotto.

Santa, with his sleigh pulled by the Cairngorm reindeer, will be leaving Cameron Square
at 11am and he needs two local youngsters between the age of five and 10 to become
little elves for the day and join him on the sleigh, waving to the crowds lining High
Street and over the Parade Green as he makes his way to the Nevis Centre.

If you would like to help Santa on the day of the festival then write a short four-line
story or poem that contains the words “Lochaber” and “greetings” and post it with your name, age, a parent or guardian’s contact phone number, and your school, to Santa’s Helpers Competition, The Alexandra Hotel, Parade Green, Fort William, PH33 6AZ to arrive no later than Friday November 17.

All the entries, including the winning two, will be displayed in the foyer of the Nevis Centre on the day of the festival.
