Tarbert AFC made the short journey to Alexandria last Saturday to face Vale of Leven in a league fixture.
The Dookers were hopeful of a positive result and were keen to avenge an earlier cup defeat at the hands of the Vale.
Tarbert had much of the early play and had several chances to take the lead but a mixture of poor decision-making and poor finishing cost them dearly.
The Vale played their way into the game and took the lead and then, in the second half, added two further goals for a comfortable victory.
The boys do not have any time to feel sorry for themselves as they face unbeaten Kilbarchan Thistle tomorrow (Saturday) at home, with a 2pm kick-off.
This will be the toughest test of the season so far, so everyone will need to be up to the task from the first whistle.
