Corran Ferry protest planned for Rural Parliament

The Corran Action Group (CAG) is planning to protest the ongoing Corran ferry problem at the Scottish Rural and Islands Parliament on Friday November 3 at the Nevis Centre in Fort William.

The group has written to Shona Robison MSP, Deputy First Minister asking for a meeting while attending the event, but had not received a reply as yet.

In their letter they state: “Simply looking at a map doesn’t convey the massive implications of this crossing – it is designated a lifeline service for good reason, but Highland Council have failed to manage it as such.

“We need your help to find an alternative way to address this situation as a matter of urgency.”

CAG is inviting anyone who feels equally aggrieved to join them from 8.30am outside the Nevis Centre on Friday.
