DEATHS
CALLANDER – Peacefully at Lorn and Islands Hospital, Oban on October 28, 2023, aged 84. Lily née Smith, beloved wife of the late Billy, a much loved sister, mum and granny. Sorely missed.
MACARTHUR – Alasdair. Suddenly but peacefully on October 22, 2023. Beloved husband of Jan, loving father of Ian, Jenny and Sandy, much loved grandfather of Dugald, Fergus and Bryn. Funeral service at Cardross Crematorium on Monday, November 6 at 10.15am. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to RNLI.
MACGREGOR – Peacefully in the care of North Argyll House, Oban on October 20, 2023, in her 83rd year, Margaret Sheila née Strang, beloved wife of the late Jack MacGregor, dearly loved mum of Jack, Sheila and Duncan, a much-loved mother-in-law, and granny. Sorely missed.
MASON – In the tender care of Lorn and Islands Hospital, Oban, on October 25, 2023 in his 73rd year, Eric Douglas Mason, dearly loved husband of Jackie, brother of Mabel, the late Sandra, Robbie and John, brother-in-law to Christine, Maureen, Drew, Liz and the late Stewart, uncle to Shirley, Gregor, George, Robert, James, Ross, Mark, Eilidh and Duncan.
THOMSON – David Neilson Lamont. Peacefully at home on Thursday, October 19, 2023, David formerly of North Ballachulish and Glencoe, aged 85 years. Dearly loved husband, father, grandfather and brother. A dear friend to many, who will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Funeral service to be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 in Stirlingshire crematorium at 12.00pm. A memorial service will be held in Nether Lochaber Parish Church, Onich on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 12.00pm. All family and friends are respectfully invited. Family flowers only please.
