October’s severe weather took its toll on more than roads and bridges, cancelling an eagerly-awaited gig in Kilmelford.
BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winners Ross Ainslie and Ali Hutton, with Owen Sinclair, were due to perform at the village hall on October 20 but damage to the bridge made it a no-go.
Melfort Music promoter Matthew Anderson has now re-scheduled the concert for December 1.
Tickets are £15 and under-14s accompanied by adults can get in free to the gig starting at 7pm and bookable through Eventbrite here: www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/ross-ainslie-and-ali-hutton-trio-with-owen-sinclair-tickets-700346895417
Ross and Ali were both founding members of the award-winning powerhouse Treacherous Orchestra. They have gone on to play in many other leading Scottish bands, including Old Blind Dogs, Salsa Celtica, Dougie Maclean, Shooglenifty and Capercaillie.
They are winners of the best duo category at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards in 2017 and were nominated for the same award in 2018.
December 1’s trio is completed by multi-instrumentalist and singer Owen Sinclair. Owen has made his mark as an international performer and teacher, performing regularly with Tannara, Westward the Light and Inyal.
