Meanwhile partner Peter is launching his debut title, The Art of Hutting – Learn to live off-grid with the Highland Hutter. This is Peter’s first book and it celebrates all things to do with hutting in Scotland.

Huts, whether in the country, by the sea or near to home are a glimpse into nature – helping us slow down and enjoy the detail in life’s little things – and create time for self-care, health and a more sustainable way of living.

Many Oban people know the story of the MacQueen hut and this book gives context to the wider hutting movement which is sweeping across Scotland and gives ordinary families a foothold on the land and an opportunity to get back to basics.

The Oban book signing event is in Waterstones Oban from 3-5pm on Friday, November 10.
