A warm welcome always from the Salvation Army

Campbeltown Salvation Army threw open its doors on Saturday November 4 to welcome members of the community to a coffee morning.

Despite being quieter than usual for this event the group still raised £180 which will go towards the work of the local branch.

Volunteer Margaret Raeside said: “We continue to be thankful for the support of the local community.”

The next event in the army hall will take place on Friday November 24 – the night of the Lights Switch On – when volunteers will be serving hot soup, tea and coffee along with Christmas nibbles.

“There is no entry charge that evening as we thank the people of Campbeltown for all the support given to us during the year,” added Margaret.
