Exciting plans ahead for Corrie Hotel

The new owners of the Corrie Hotel have fully re-opened for business following a six figure investment in their hotel kitchen.

The existing kitchen was completely ripped out, rewired and refitted in a week. It now features new flooring, ceiling and wall coverings. Every piece of equipment was renewed, including state-of-the-art cooking systems and a stainless steel extraction and ventilation system.

Having bought the hotel in June 2022, Andrew Garbutt and Rodger Meadows have set about further improving the renovations the previous owners undertook during their ownership.

‘’We ran through our first season with what we got, only replacing some essential furnishings and making some minor cosmetic changes, until the winter allowed us the time to undertake the much needed re-decoration of all the bedrooms and some public areas at a significant cost,” said Rodger, creative director of the business.

Andrew added: “The cosmetic changes have enhanced our offer over and above the radical changes we made to our food menu and drinks offering when we first took over. Our customers really love the new wine, whisky and gin menus and our new Sir Woofchester dog menu.”

There are more exciting plans ahead as the couple revealed more refurbishment will be undertaken in the coming months and far beyond.

“We are committed to making a significant investment to make the Corrie Hotel fit for the next generation. As well as being a tourist destination for travellers throughout the world, the hotel is a vital part of the community. It would have been a tragedy for Corrie to have lost the hotel when it was put on the market last year,” added Rodger.
