Celtic soul takes Carradale by storm

Liverpool Celtic Soul legend Ian Prowse, and his ‘Fiddle of Fire’ Nico CJ, brought the roof down at Carradale Village Hall last week.

One of Liverpool’s favourite sons since the ’90s, Carradale residents Helen Rowlands and Russell Kay wanted the people of Carradale to love him too.

Well, they were right: they did.

People enjoyed an evening of joyous and heartfelt songs from across Ian’s 30 years in the industry – joining in and even impromptu dancing. It was fabulous.

The evening was kicked off in great style by Angel Face who joined Ian on stage for a rousing performance of Twist and Shout in the finale.

The event was organised through Kilbrannan Sound, which is committed to keeping tickets prices at £10 to keep the gigs open to as many people as possible.

The next Kilbrannan Sound gig at Carradale Village Hall will be A celebration of John Marty” on Saturday December 2.
