Have you got your tickets yet for Oban’s Big Quiz Night in the Argyllshire Gathering Halls on Friday (November 17)?
The event will see teams from around Argyll taking part in the biggest nationwide quiz in aid of Tearfund.
Last year, the national event raised £140,000 for the Christian charity, with Oban contributing £1,230.
Money raised this year will once again support work that is changing the lives of people living in poverty.
Mary Black, of Oban Baptist Church, who is one of the local organisers, said: ‘We are very much looking forward to taking part in the Big Quiz Night, bringing our friends and family together to stretch our brains and support the work of Tearfund.’
Every pound raised from the Big Quiz Night will go straight to Tearfund. You can take part on your own, in a family, or as a team of up to eight people, and the quiz has something for everyone.
Mary continued: ‘People taking part in the quiz should turn up hungry because tea, coffee and delicious home-baking will be served.
