An Tobar and Mull Theatre is taking its winter programme on the road to reach a bigger audience – without spending more money.
In response to many people telling Tobermory arts centre and theatre that they are struggling to attend events during the colder and darker months, a helpful solution has been found.
So far there has already been an arts ceilidh in a studio on Iona and interactive storytelling sessions in Dervaig Hall inspired by the work of Charlotte Mellis at the Tin Shed Gallery near Calgary with music by composer and harpist Allie Robertson.
Still to come is the Story Bus, where fun and community get onboard to bring tales of Mull and its vibrant folk and settlements to life.
From now until March, the Story Bus will be making its way to doorsteps all over Mull to spread joy and foster a sense of togetherness.
Whether you prefer singing, writing, drawing, or any other way of being creative, the Story Bus is looking forward to stopping by.
It will be pulling up at these locations from noon until 7pm on these dates:
Thursday November 16 at Salen; Friday November 17 at Bunessan; Dervaig on Thursday November 23; Uisken and Kintra on Monday November 27; Tobermory on Wednesday December 6; on Thursday January 18 it will be at Dervaig School and Calgary Beach; then at Ulva School and Glen Road on Wednedsay January 24; Bunessan School and Fionnphort on Thursday February 1; Uisken and Kinntra on Thursday February 8; Craignure and Pennyghael on Thursday February 15; Salen School on Thursday February 29; Lochdon School and village on Thursday March 7; and Fionnphort on Thursday March 14, before Tobermory School on Thursday March 21.
