Police assaulted
A 34-year-old man was arrested and held for court after he allegedly became volatile, shouting and making threats before assaulting police officers who had stopped and detained him at Hazelburn Business Park, Campbeltown, at 4pm on Thursday November 9, under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.
No insurance
Police on patrol in Calton Avenue, Campbeltown, carried out roadside investigations on a vehicle at 6.05pm on Saturday November 11, and found that it had no valid insurance policy, no current MOT certificate and was registered as being off the road. A 23-year-old man has been charged with the alleged offences and a report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
