Window smashed

Police are investigating after a passenger side window of a Hyundai Terracan vehicle parked at The Roading, Campbeltown, was smashed between 9am on Wednesday November 8 and 9.30am on Saturday November 11. Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or anonymously call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, quoting reference CR/0320208/23.

Man assaulted

Two men, one aged 37 and the other aged 31, were arrested, charged and held for court after a man was allegedly assaulted during a disturbance on Lochend Street, Campbeltown, at 7.45pm on Tuesday November 14.

Cannabis possession

A 19-year-old man was cautioned, charged and issued with a recorded police warning for possession of a controlled substance after he was found with 2.3g of cannabis when he was stopped and searched by police on Saddell Street, Campbeltown, on Thursday November 16.

Threatening behaviour

A 25-year-old man was charged with threatening and abusive behaviour and issued with a recorded police warning after acting aggressively and making threats towards others during an incident on Killeonan Road, Campbeltown, at 7.45pm on Saturday November 18.

Domestic abuse

During the last week, police in Mid Argyll, Kintyre and the Islands received one report of a crime under the Sexual Offences Act, one report of domestic assault and one report of breach of bail.

This led to two individuals being arrested and charged. One person was released on an undertaking and the other was held for the next available court.
