Caledonian Marts Ltd sold 189 cattle comprising of 121 Prime Bullocks, heifers and young bulls and 68 OTM cattle.
Show judging was in the able hands of Geoff Nutter of Bowland Foods, Preston. With more than 60 cattle forward for the show, Geoff had his work cut out.

The beast that caught Geoff’s eyes for Overall Champion was a 20 month old British Blue Heifer from Wilson Peters, Monzie, which went over the scale at 498kg selling to 510p per kg (£2539.80) to Geoff of Bowland Foods, Preston, on behalf of S R Hallworth, Butchers, Clitheroe.
Reserve Champion was again a sweet Limousin Heifer weighing 506kg travelling
down from B Duffton & Smith, Sunnyhill, Turriff, which the gavel went down at
490p per kg (£2479.40) purchased by R W Meats, Dunkeld.
Special Prize, sponsored by W McIntyre Haulage, went to the Overall Champion for the best Homebred Beast.
