Christmas crafts boost biodiversity on Seil

A Christmas craft fair on Seil raised more than £1,500 for a biodiversity cause on the island.

Seil Biodiversity CIC’s Kim Rowswell said the fair at the island’s hall on December 2 was a   successful community event.

The group now hopes to progress a wildlife hide project and with the funds raised, the first steps of applying for planning permission can now be considered.

“Thanks to all who gave of their time and gave donations helping to make this such a successful event,” said Kim.
