As well as starring in school shows, concerts and Nativities, youngsters from Dalintober and Castlehill primary schools have been enjoying lots of festive activities in the classroom.

Dalintober’s pupils entertained audiences at four performances of their school show, which this year had the theme ‘the magic of the movies’.

“We thank all the children and staff for putting on such entertaining performances,” said a school spokesperson. “Dalintober Family Partnership also gave generously of their time by organising raffles after each performance.”

The school’s Early Learning Centre children also took to the stage, performing their nativity ‘Baarmy Bethlehem’.

Among the other festive activities taking place in the school was the long-standing P7 tradition of making Christmas logs, which was very much enjoyed by this year’s class.

Across town, Castlehill hosted a school concert and P2-1 and P2 Nativity and held a festive craft fayre.

The school also brought some festive cheer to Kintyre Care Centre, with P2-1, P2 and P7 entertaining residents by singing songs and playing instruments during visits to the home.

Santa also made visits to both school, delivering some early Christmas presents to the lucky youngsters.

Both schools also completed their own Santa-themed walks and runs.
