Rockfield Primary is the latest school in Argyll and Bute to receive accreditation as a Silver Reading School.
Reading Schools is an accreditation programme for schools across Scotland that are committed to building a reading culture for their learners and communities.
The Scottish Book Trust in partnership with Education Scotland provide extra training, resources and support towards achieving this award.
Rockfield Primary got this message from the Reading School’s co-ordinator, Clara Owen: “It is clear to see that there is a strong reading-rich pedagogy at your school, and so well supported by your staff and learners – your reading culture is really thriving!
“I am delighted to let you know that you have now achieved your Reading Schools Silver accreditation – congratulations!”
