A new adventure playground was opened at Brodick Castle and Country Park this week. Nicknamed “the beast”, the huge complex structure of rope bridges, metal chutes and a wooden tower, replaces the previous structure which had been there for 20 years. Trying out the new playgound are a group of children from Gosforth in Newcastle who were on a trip to the island. 01_B40twe01_23_the|_beast

Moira Starks, who recently retired from her post of peripatetic music teacher after almost 30 years, was involved in her final school concert last Friday on her 65th birthday. After the assembly at Brodick Primary School, she was presented with flowers by the captains and vice captains of each class. 01_B40twe02_23_moira_starks
