Lunch acknowledges 20 years of Lochaber Women’s Aid

Lochaber Women’s Aid (LWA) celebrated its 20th anniversary with a lunch event at the Ben Nevis Inn on Thursday October 5.

Hosted by Lochaber Chamber of Commerce, the lunch saw over 45 people attend, alongside local business representatives, to acknowledge the two decades worth of support the charity has provided to women, children and young people in the area.

The event also served to raise awareness of domestic abuse and why organisations such as LWA have to exist.

Describing the event, Donna Campbell, Depute Manager at Lochaber Women’s Aid, said: “We are really pleased that an amount of people came to support the organisation and learn about domestic abuse.

“We’re really overwhelmed with the comments and support from local organisations, and it was great to be a part of it.”
