Showstoppers all set for ‘easily the best’ panto ever

It’s that time of year again. Oh yes, it is!

Lochaber Showstoppers have released the dates for this year’s pantomime which will take place from December 13-16 in the Nevis Centre.

In their third outing since the pandemic, and third show this year (Hansel and Gretel in Janaury, The Addams Family in April, and Cinderella in December), the all inclusive community organisation will present their very own take on the ever popular Cinderella.

Rehearsals are already under way with the cast of 27 people almost ready to perform six shows over the four days.

Once again Ryan Flay is the writer and director of the show and he told us: “This is the fourth panto I’ve authored for Lochaber Showstoppers and I think it’s easily the best one.

“There are plenty of local references, lots of businesses are given shoutouts, and there’s a lot of jokes the adults will enjoy.  It’s really tailored to the local community.

“Our show has all the traditional elements with a few surprises included. I think people will love this version as it’s not quite what they expect.”

Among the many taking part in this latest production are Jane Poulton (Fairy God Mother), Sarah Davidson (Ugly Stepsister), Natalie Lynch (Wicked Stepmother), Leah Burns (Prince Charming), and Rhona Macneil as Cinderella.
