Mid Argyll Rugby Football Club’s P6-7 team once again proved their dominance at the latest Dalriada, hosted by Etive Vikings Mini Rugby Club
Almost 100 players from Kintyre, Mid Argyll, Oban, Taynuilt, Isle of Mull and Lochaber turned out at at the Taynuilt Sports Hub on Saturday.
The Mid Argyll P6-7s’ ability to adapt to various challenges and grow in confidence as a team shone through as the tournament progressed.
Ruairidh Charnock’s distribution, running and game awareness marked him out as a player to watch out for in the future.
They seized every opportunity to secure crucial points, leaving spectators thoroughly impressed with their teamwork and determination.
Kintyre came out on top in the P4/5 competition, winning all their games.
Mid Argyll Coach Simone Charnock said: “While the P4-5 team may not have achieved as many victories on paper, their performance was nothing short of excellent.
“With one win and a draw, their results didn’t fully reflect the tenacity and skill they exhibited on the field.
“Both teams refused to let their heads drop, ensuring that our young players enjoyed a full day of intense rugby competition.
“Special mention to our solitary micro, Innis – player of tournament!”
The next Dalriada is Sunday, November 5, at Oban Rugby Club.
