The Rahoy Hills on the Morvern Peninsula is a Scottish Wildlife Trust nature reserve located in remote and mountainous country.

Encompassing a variety of habitats from grasslands and mires to cliffs, lochans and ancient oak woodlands, it has exceptional biodiversity with a number of rare plant
and animal species.

Both golden and white-tailed eagles may be seen and if you are lucky, otter and pine marten.

Insects are very varied and include many species of butterfly and dragonfly.

The basalt rocks of Rahoy produce a rich nutrient soil that favours a rare and diverse flora.

If you would like to learn more about the reserve, the manager Steve Hardy will be speaking to Lochaber Natural History Society at their next talk on Monday November 13 in St Andrews Church Hall at 7.30pm.
