Isle of Skye and Raasay Area Committee met on November 6 and agreed to formally withdraw £109,992 from the 2021/22 Island Infrastructure Fund awarded to Sabhal Mòr Ostaig for the Sleat Motorhome Facilities Project due to changes within the organisation.
Sleat Motorhome Facilities Project has advised it has taken the difficult decision not to progress with its plans at the moment because of capacity and resourcing requirements within the organisation therefore there is a need to formally withdraw the offer.
The Highland Council’s Community Regeneration Fund team is in discussions with the Scottish Government and The Highland Council Corporate Finance team as to whether this funding can be retained and rolled into the 2023/24 Community Regeneration Fund allocation for the Isle of Skye and Raasay and administered in line with the approved procedures for this fund.
