On a perfect day for golf, with nearly wall-to-wall warm sunshine, no wind and blue skies, eight lady members took to the course at Dunaverty Golf Club last Saturday to compete in the November medal competition.
In the first group of the day, Elizabeth Marrison played a very steady round and returned a score of gross 80 (nett 68) to set the pace.
Although conditions were ideal for playing, none of the remaining players were able to take advantage and better Elizabeth’s scores, with nearest contenders Katie Cappello and Rona Young returning nett 75 scores.
Result: 1 Elizabeth Marrison 80-12=68, 2 Katie Cappello 96-21=75 (bih), 3 Rona Young 100-25=75. Lowest gross: Elizabeth Marrison 80.
