Campbeltown Bowling Club’s indoor season got off to a flying start when the Archie Morans Memorial Triples contest was held in the clubhouse last Thursday night.
Two sections of four teams played off during the evening, with the triples of Hugh McCorkindale, Gavin Semple and Robert Millar, and John McCormick, David Brown and Steven Dickson emerging as section winners to contest the final.
John’s team took an early lead, which they maintained, taking a four-shot lead into the last end, which proved to be enough for the victory.
President Robert Todd presented the prizes and trophy to the winners to conclude the first competition of the indoor season.
