Arran author pens Pods for Pigs

A new novel with the intriguing title Pods for Pigs has been published by well-known Arran author Gordon MacLeod.

Pods for Pigs is Gordon’s sixth novel and co-incides with the re-release of his most popular novel to date, 76 which was written in 2011 and was set on Arran. It is available in paperback from Amazon, where most of his other work can also be found.

The story of Pods for Pigs focuses on the life of two brothers living on a croft on a small Scottish island, but raises the question of whether or not it is big enough for both of them. This Scottish family drama comes with highly charged emotions, tempered by a touch of humour and a drop of whisky.

Gordon’s latest novel follows in the footsteps of one of his plays, Where Did All the Flowers Come From? which was set on the island and produced last year, before being released as a podcast by the Greyhill Arts and multi-media theatre company.

Gordon was raised on Arran and his family still live here. He remains a regular visitor to the island when on holiday or visiting family.

Gordon MacLeod has penned six novels and a number of dramatic works for stage, radio and screen.
