A830 works over eight days

Essential surfacing improvements are set to commence on the A830 at Corpach High Street from Monday December 11 for eight days.

The project will see 500m of road resurfaced between Guisach Terrace and Drumfada Terrace, creating a smoother and safer road surface for motorists.

Works will take place between 9.30am and 4pm each day and will be completed by 4pm on Wednesday December 20. No works are planned on Saturdays or Sundays.

To ensure the safety of road workers and motorists, the works will take place under a 10mph convoy using lane closures and temporary traffic lights.

The road will be open outside of working hours to keep disruption to a minimum, however a speed restriction will remain in place as traffic will run over a temporary surface.

Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times.

Ian Stewart, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative said: “This surfacing project on the A830 will help address defects on the road and greatly improve the surface for motorists.

“Our team will do all that they can to complete the works as quickly and as safely as possible, and we thank the local community and road users for their patience while we complete the project. We encourage motorists to plan ahead by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up-to-date travel information.”
