Peaky Bowlers play a blinder to move into pole position

As 2023 draws to a close and we head towards a Festive break, it`s all change at the top of the Lochaber Bowling Series Scratch division with the Peaky Bowlers moving up into first place over the Alleycats in second and the Burnt Ends in three.

It`s extremely close, with only one game in it between them.

William Landsborough (Peaky Bowlers) bowled a 179 for the highest Scratch game but Steve Day (Triple B) pipped him to the Series top spot with 336, William with 335.

The Peaky Bowlers also had the highest team game with 611 and are now highest in the Series with 1176.

It is the fifth week on the trot at the top of the Handicap division for Fort William British Legion after a clean sweep in their game this week.

Rotary `B` are in second and Burnt Ends complete the top three.

Colin Pinkett (Burnt Ends) had the best individual game with 236 and Karen Dean (Gutter Girls) came in second with 225.

Best in series is Steve day (Triple B) with 428.

Rotary`B` bowled 806 to take the highest team game with the Gutter Girls just two pins away in second but FW British Legion go top in the Series with 1583.

2023 finishes with a Xmas Bowling night, then restarts on January 8 2024.
