Cannabis possession
A 29-year-old woman was charged and given a recorded police warning for possession of a controlled drug after she was stopped and searched by police on Longrow, Campbeltown, at 10.30pm on Thursday December 14 and found in possession of 1g of cannabis.
Carrying a knife
A man was arrested, charged and held for court after he was allegedly found in possession of a knife in a public place when he was searched by police at Old Quay Head, Campbeltown, at 11.40pm on Friday December 15.
Domestic abuse
During the past week, police received one report of domestic assault in the Mid Argyll, Kintyre and the Islands area. This led to one person being arrested but subsequently released following interview. Police Scotland remains committed to tackling offenders of domestic abuse and reducing the level of it in our communities.
